Gary L Williams began his career as a financial professional in 1988 with a clear vision of the practice he wanted to create. His commitment was two-fold. First and foremost, the practice would offer its services on a fee-based platform thereby minimizing the inherent conflicts of interest related to commission-based selling. Second, but equally important, it would be committed to the premise that each client is unique and special – and that each would receive the same level of attention and service excellence.
Over time, Gary has developed a uniquely customized approach for each client’s planning needs, objectives and goals. “I see my role as more than just providing financial advice and services,” says Gary. “I’m really a life coach that specializes in money.” He strives to help people make smart choices today that will lead to a better quality of life in the future. This involves a dual focus. First, he helps them envision their ideal future. Then, he helps them manage their resources to support their vision. “We are building a plan based on your core values, not how much has accrued in the 401(k) plan.”
His strong educational credentials and years of experience enable him to provide objective advice and serve his clients as their trusted advisor. He successfully completed the demanding requirements to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional through the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. This requires a two-year course of study with comprehensive exams. It also mandates adherence to a strict set of standards and ethics, continuing education in the field and a fiduciary commitment to clients. To advance his knowledge of retirement planning, he completed the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor program and the National Social Security Advisor program.
Gary and his family have been residents of Northern Kentucky for over 30 years. He devotes his free time to his family.
